Given promising clinical research findings, we anticipate a growing need for outstanding psychedelic specialists with rigorous training in psychedelic-assisted interventions. As an emerging field, psychedelic medicine lacks a formalized training pathway through which clinicians can develop the unique skills and competencies required to facilitate psychedelic medicine sessions. We have extensive experience providing these interventions, and have trained an outstanding in-house team to offer these services within our ongoing trials.
As part of our ongoing clinical research, we continue to provide formal training for clinicians working in our group as Psychedelic Therapists. Our specialized trainings include a combination of didactic education, independent scholarship, and supervised clinical experience within our trials investigating psilocybin and other schedule I compounds. Training and supervision is provided by our team of highly experienced clinicians and researchers.
Licensed individuals who are legally able to practice psychotherapy and/or mental health counseling in New York State (LCSW, PhD or PsyD Psychology, LMHC, MFT, LP, MD, NP, PA) that are interested in joining our team should send a CV and a completed copy of our Research Therapist Application to CPMTherapyTraining@NYULangone.org.
Please note that we have a limited number of opportunities available, and priority will be given to the strongest applicants.
